Frequently asked questions
Which static site generators does Textorium support?
Textorium auto-detects Hugo, Jekyll, and Eleventy projects. It also works with any SSG that uses Markdown files with YAML frontmatter.
Can I use Textorium with multiple sites?
Yes! Textorium supports unlimited sites. Switch between them from the sidebar. Each site maintains its own column layout and settings.
Does Textorium work offline?
Yes, Textorium works entirely offline. All content stays on your Mac. No internet connection required.
How do I add a site?
Click the "+" button in the sidebar and select your content folder. Textorium will scan for Markdown files and detect your SSG type.
Can I edit the raw Markdown?
Yes! Toggle between Write (WYSIWYG) and Source (raw Markdown) modes using the mode picker in the toolbar.
Does Textorium modify my files?
Textorium only modifies files when you save changes. Your original Markdown format is preserved. Auto-save happens 1 second after you stop typing.
What about iOS or iPadOS?
Currently Textorium is macOS-only. iOS/iPadOS versions are being considered for future releases.
Is Textorium free?
Yes, Textorium is free. No subscription, no in-app purchases.
Does Textorium have Git integration?
Not yet. Git integration is planned for a future release (v2.0). For now, use your terminal or Git client alongside Textorium.
